Some YouTubers I Follow Part Three

Part three in this series of blog posts in which I write about YouTube channels I follow!

Caribou-kun

I recommend this channel basically on the sheer strength of one video. Contained on YouTube, located entirely in this channel is a video essay so great and long it should probably be referred to as a documentary. I'm talking about "What Inspired Gurren Lagann". Clocking in at just over two hours this documentary film focuses on the five major influences that underlie the anime known as Gurran Lagann. If you are an anime fan and have watched the show you absolutely need to watch this video. It does spoil a bunch of other great anime you may not have seen before such as Ashita no Joe so if you want to pause to watch that before finishing the video, feel free.

The same creator also has a second channel where he critiques anime video essays from around YouTube on a weekly basis.

Under The Scope

Want more video essays focusing on anime? Well Under The Scope has got 'em! From his fantastic pieces on Sound Euphonium and Kyoto Animation to his incredible yearly anime awards, UTS has a lot of videos worth watching.

Currently Hannah

Another YouTube creator that lives in Japan! Currently Hannah has produced a lot of videos recently that involve following her on nature hikes and such. These videos contain minimal dialog and allow the beauty of nature to be on display.

Stay tuned for more channel recommendations!
