Trip to Japan 2020: Ultimate Edition
January 7, 2020
Got to walk around Shinjuku Garden! It was a little cold that day so when I found out there was a (lovely) greenhouse the warmth was a nice reprieve.
OK, I was a little nervous as far as doing everything at the shrine the right way. But fear not I had a flawless plan! After looking up online what to do, I simply waited until someone else went up to the shrine and copied them to make sure I didn't forget anything. True story.
I perused the area for a fine eating establishment and found one. After finishing my meal I decided that it was time to go back near Shinjuku Station to explore and play Taiko Drum Master!
The Shinjuku Suehirotei, where Rakugo is performed. I did not go see a performance as there was a sign outside saying something to the effect of if you do not speak Japanese you will not enjoy this show. I would have paid the 2000 or 3000 yen and stayed for just one performance to experience it, but if I had left early they might have thought I just didn't enjoy it and I had no way of explaining that not to be the case. This concludes my TED talk.
Got to cook my own food! Thankfully the waiter asked if I knew what I was doing as I did not!
This day was a little more relaxed and I did some exploring. It was nice to slow down a bit.
This is my day 21 post for #100daystooffload
